Mona Thayer

Lovingly known at "The Dog Lady", Mona's passion is helping underdogs get a leg up.

Mona's always had a soft spot for underdogs, and more specifically 4-legged friends. No matter where she goes, Mona simply will "have to" stop and pet, cuddle with or feed any creature she comes across.

Mona's a big volunteer over the years, dedicating hundreds of hours to whoever needed the help.

Feeling like she could do more, Mona teamed up with her cousin and great friend Tammi Littrell to form Inside Voice, a charity that helps pet owners pay for emergency vet bills that otherwise could not be paid, thus leading to an unnecessary euthanasia decision.

Now, Mona with the help of her husband Tom, have started M-T Pockets Foundation to help shelters, pet rescues and pet owners with a much broader scale of assistance. Should it be natural disaster, financial issues, overburdening due to a hoarder being caught or just tough times, M-T Pockets is set up to help those in need that don't meet the criteria of an Inside Voice grant.

It is our hope that we are able to make a difference in assisting and educating pet owners, providing financial support to shelters and rescues, so that more and more pets are not only saved, but get to live wonderful, happy lives!
